This summer has been very successful for the different age groups of England with a large amount of trophies being won.
Firstly, the u20’s team won the World Cup in South Korea for the first time, narrowly beating Venezuela in the final after Calvert Lewin’s goal and Woodman’s penalty save.
This win inspired the u19s to win the European Championship in a nervous final where they only just clinged on to victory.
Furthermore, the u17’s continued Euros success by getting to the final, but they were unfortunately thwarted by Spain, who won their third title.
Lastly, the u21’s reached the semi-finals, but were knocked out in the harshest circumstances by Germany.
This success brings hope for the future of English football, when there looked to be none after defeat against Iceland.
