Five things we learnt from Manchester United’s thrilling 3-2 EFL Cup final victory over Southampton

Ibrahimovic 19, 87, Lingard 38, Gabbiadini 45+1, 48

Ibrahimovic has still got it at 35 years of age, and he’s one of the best free kick takers in the world and that was showed with his first goal.
Lingard delivers in the big matches and he’s now scored in the EFL Cup final, the FA Cup final and the Community Shield.
Manolo Gabbiadini will become Southampton’s main striker and I think he will develop into one of the best centre forwards in the Premier League after scoring five times in his first three Southampton starts.
Chris Smalling is not good enough for Manchester United, and he was at fault for Gabbiadini’s second goal and after the game he showed his un-professionalism by taking a dig at Liverpool.
United will be a driving force under Jose Mourinho and they could finish in the top four this season.
United won the League Cup for a fifth time on Sunday.

Mata 56, Fellaini 87

United will beat Hull easily in the second leg.
Fellaini has been getting too much criticism- he has shown at times what a great player he is.
Hull shouldn’t take this cup seriously, they should only worry about staying up this season.
Mata is an exceptional player, but should move this transfer window because of all the attacking options United have he’s not been giving enough chances at Man U.
United will go all the way in this competition.
Hull manager Marcos Silva’s aim for the season is to stay up which looks unlikely, so I think he should just focus on the league this season.

Redmond 20

Liverpool played awfully last night.
Southampton will win the second leg.
I don’t know what Klopp was doing playing Karius, Mignolet has been class in the past few games.
Southampton will just miss out in the final.
With Mignolet playing perfectly well in the pat few games, I think it was a ridiculous decision to play Karius in goal last night.

Alli 45+1, 54

Chelsea deserved to win the record of the most Premier League winning games in a row, because they’ve been absolutely magnificent since they changed formation. However, they didn’t deserve to win the game.
That win has brought Tottenham right near top spot.
Chelsea shouldn’t panic too much about it, it’s only one loss.
Dele Alli will score lots more this season.
Chelsea will still win the league.
Tottenham will not finish in the top four.
Alli and Kane are Tottenham’s main players and will provide the goals and the assists for Spurs this season.
